Test expiring GitHub App user tokens gradually

GitHub Apps can now request expiring user access tokens for individual authorizations, helping teams test rotation before a wider rollout.

Have the integration owner test one authorization with offline_access, including refresh and reauthentication, before planning how to retire existing non-expiring tokens.

A deliberate data boundary

Lifecycle metadata stays separate from secrets.

Credential values stay in your systems. KeyGuardRail holds the facts your team needs to coordinate the work.

Before you begin

Before you get started

Does KeyGuardRail store my secrets?

No credential values are requested. You register lifecycle metadata such as provider, owner, expiry date, and rotation policy. Keep API keys, passwords, and other secret values in your existing systems.

Does it rotate credentials automatically?

Your team performs the rotation in the provider or vault. KeyGuardRail helps you coordinate deadlines and record the completed work. Automatic discovery and provider rotation are not current features.

How do I get started?

Create a free workspace, verify your email, and set up your account and MFA. Then you can add your first records or import the inventory template.

Can I start without paying?

Yes. Create a Free workspace without a card or an approval queue. Starter and Growth are optional monthly subscriptions chosen inside your workspace.
